Neodymium Magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available. They have replaced other types of magnets in the many applications of modern products that require strong permanent magnets.

Designations such as N35, N42, and N52, among others, are relative indicators of the quality of the material used in the manufacture of the magnet. As the grade (the number following the "N") increases, so does the power of the magnet. These numbers provide information on two crucial aspects:

  • The amount of "magnetic energy" stored per unit volume in the magnetic material.
  • The maximum temperature to which the magnet can be exposed and still function properly.

The term "N" indicates that magnets can withstand temperatures up to 80°C (176°F). Currently, the strongest neodymium magnets available are N52.

When comparing two magnets in our line with different sizes and magnetization levels, it is observed that, in most cases, volume is the main factor that determines their strength, beyond variations in magnetization. Thus, the larger magnet tends to be the more powerful, even if its magnetization level is slightly lower.

** Pull Forces: Expected pull forces based on extensive product testing. The Surface Field data is only valid for points along the center axis of the magnet and assumes a single magnet in free space.

If you are planning to use them with wargames and miniatures we will recommend you as follows:

- Neodymium Magnet - 3x0.5mm, for exchanging weapons, heads, arms, etc ...
- Neodymium Magnet - 3x1mm, for exchanging weapons, heads, arms, etc ...
- Neodymium Magnet - 3x2mm, for plastic miniatures bases.
- Neodymium Magnet - 5x2mm, for metal miniatures bases.
